#1 Fort Hays State vs. #9 Northeastern State
Top seeded Fort Hays State will face off with #9 Northeastern State at 12 noon on March 6 in the quarterfinal round of the MIAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
 
The Tigers enter the weekend averaging 74.1 points while allowing 54.2 points per game to opponents. They are led by MIAA Player of the Year Kate Lehman who is averaging a double-double with 19.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Chelsea Mason is averaging 12.1 points as well per game this season.
 
The RiverHawks advanced by defeated Washburn and are averaging 54.3 points while allowing opponents 61.0 points per game this season. They are led by Chelsey Beathard who is averaging 9.7 points per game. Fontana Tate is averaging 9.6 points while Kate Bellamy is averaging 7.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest.
 
The winner will face either #4 Missouri Southern or #5 Central Missouri at 6 p.m. on March 7 from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
