Top seeded Central Missouri will host fourth seed Central Oklahoma in the second of two MIAA Volleyball Tournament Semi-Finals.

Central Missouri earned the right to host the semi-finals and final with a 3-0 sweep of Pittsburg State. For the Jennies Taylor Goodness had 17 kills hitting .308 for the game. Haley Thompson had 11 kills and hit .524. Julia Bates had a double-double with 10 kills hitting .588 and 36 assists finishing just shy of the triple-double with eight digs. Annie Reilly had a team best 25 digs while Becca Blaise had a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs.’

On the season for UCM Goodness, a first team All-MIAA selection, is averaging 4.04 kills per set and hitting .302 on the year. Bates, the MIAA Player of the Year, is averaging 11.07 assists per set. Reilly, also a first team performer, is averaging 5.41 digs per set and Haley Thompson is averaging 1.18 blocks per set.

Central Oklahoma got to the semi-finals with a 3-0 victory over Emporia State. For the Bronchos Barbara Jackson led the way on the attack with 19 kills and also added seven digs. Allison Barr had 13 kills and hit .462 for the match while Juliette Smith added five blocks. Taylyn Schwartz had a team best 41 assists and Tate Hardaker had 18 digs.

Jackson, a second team All-MIAA selection, leads the attack for the Bronchos on the season averaging 3.66 kills per set. Schwartz has taken over the primary setting for UCO averaging 8.60 assists per set. On the return Hardaker, a second team performer, averaging 5.84 digs per set and Smith averages 1.18 blocks per set.

The winner will face the advancer from the other semi-final at 7 p.m. on Nov. 23 from the Multipurpose Building on the campus of the University of Central Missouri.
