2026-27 MIAA Women's Golf Preseason Coaches Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced the results of its preseason coaches poll for the 2026-27 women’s golf season. Four different teams received first-place selections from MIAA head coaches, but the Rogers State Hillcats were picked as the favorites to take home the MIAA title.
 
Rogers State collected 110 points and three first-place votes to top the 2026-27 MIAA women’s soccer preseason coaches poll. Rogers State returns the reigning MIAA Freshman of the Year and First Team All-MIAA selection, Lou Fourdan, and two other All-MIAA honorable mention golfers, Lauren Anderson and Milena Andres, who both placed in the top 10 at the 2026 MIAA Women’s Golf Championship.
 
Washburn was picked second with 106 points and received the most first-place selections from MIAA head coaches with four total. Nebraska Kearney, the defending MIAA champion, was picked third with 101 points and three first-place votes, while Central Missouri finished fourth with 98 points and the remaining first-place votes (2). Arkansas-Fort Smith capped the coaches’ top five teams with 80 points.
 
Central Oklahoma was picked sixth with 69 points, followed by Northwest Missouri in seventh (62 points), Missouri Western in eighth (53 points), Missouri Southern in ninth (45 points), Pittsburg State in 10th (30 points), Northeastern State in 11th (26 points), and Newman in 12th (12 points).
 
The 2026-27 NCAA Division II women’s golf season officially begins next week, with multiple MIAA programs opening the season at the Central Region Fall Preview September 8-9 in Blue Spring, Mo. The 2027 MIAA Women’s Golf Championship is set for April 12-14 at the Teradyne Country Club in Andover, Kansas.
