CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) announced the recipients of its third annual Excellence of Officiating Awards, naming MIAA women’s basketball official Jocelyn Price one of the 16 NCAA Division II officials honored.
The D2CCA Excellence in Officiating Award represents a pioneering effort to recognize outstanding referees across NCAA Division II athletics. Sixteen officials were named on the list of 2026 recipients — seven basketball officials, two football officials, two lacrosse officials, one baseball umpire, one softball umpire, a bowling official, one women’s soccer referee, and one volleyball official.
Jocelyn Price began officiating basketball in 2019 and has since worked college games at the junior college level and across all three NCAA divisions. She has served as an MIAA women’s basketball official for the past six seasons, regularly officiating the MIAA Basketball Championship Tournament in Kansas City and earning assignments for two MIAA championship games. Price has also been selected to officiate NCAA Division II and III tournament games, as well as the Division I Women’s NIT.
Earlier this year, Price was one of three MIAA officials honored with the Dr. Bob Officiating Award of Excellence at the league’s annual Awards Celebration in Kansas City. Like the D2CCA’s award, the MIAA’s Dr. Bob Officiating Award of Excellence recognizes the importance of officiating at all levels and emphasizes the commitment and integrity that today’s officials must demonstrate to be successful.
