KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced the hiring of Wiley Ray to serve as the league’s Content Creator and Network Producer on a contract basis.
Wiley Ray, a recent graduate of MIAA charter member Northwest Missouri State University, joins the MIAA on a contract basis, supporting the Association’s digital and media production efforts. Ray will also host a monthly
“A” Game Podcast with MIAA Commissioner Mike Racy and assist the conference office with championship broadcasts on
The MIAA Network.
“I’m very excited to have Wiley join our team for this content/network-specific role,” said MIAA Associate Commissioner Brenna Winn. “Not only is he a talented graphic designer and video producer, but he’s also passionate about the MIAA and familiar with the level of talent in the league. I look forward to seeing how he can help us showcase that talent and continue to grow the league’s digital and social platforms.”
Ray graduated from Northwest Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast production in May. During his time in Maryville, Ray worked for the University’s KNWT-TV and KZLX-LP Northwest Radio, both student-run organizations on campus. Ray also completed an internship with the Prospect League last summer, working as a highlight show host and a digital content creator for the League’s YouTube and social media channels.
Ray also has hands-on experience working MIAA championships. He’s helped Bearcats Student Media produce MIAA Volleyball Championships on The MIAA Network and provided play-by-play on The MIAA Network for the 2026 MIAA Softball Championship.
"I am beyond blessed for this amazing opportunity to get to work with one of the best conferences in Division II,” said Ray. “As a graduate from an MIAA member, I understand the type of level each team competes at and I'm excited to work with each school in showcasing that level of competitiveness. Each student-athlete has a story to tell and I am glad that I get to help tell that story and highlight the success this conference brings. Time to go to work!"
