INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Committee has selected the 48 teams that will be participating in the 2026 NCAA Division II women’s tennis postseason, naming four MIAA teams to the list of advancing programs. Central Oklahoma, Washburn, Northwest Missouri and Missouri Western will compete in regional preliminary matches May 8-9.
Augustana (19-2) and Central Oklahoma (18-3) both won conference championships last week, automatically qualifying for the NCAA postseason. Both teams also earned the top two seeds in the Central Region and will host the preliminary regional rounds on their campuses. Northwest Missouri (17-5) will take on a familiar opponent, Missouri Western (16-5), in the opening round at 11 am on Friday, May 8, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Washburn (19-4) will travel to Edmond, Okla., to take on Arkansas Tech (9-7), also at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 8.
The winner of the Ichabods/Golden Suns match will face the Bronchos at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, in Edmond. The winner of the Bearcats/Griffons match will take on the Vikings at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
The winning teams from each regional site will advance to the final rounds of the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championship, held May 19-23 in Surprise, Arizona. Pacific West Conference and the City of Surprise will serve as hosts.
