MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Teams to Compete in NCAA Regional Rounds

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Committee has selected the 48 teams that will be participating in the 2026 NCAA Division II men’s tennis postseason, naming five MIAA/GAC teams to the list of advancing programs. Washburn, Harding, Nebraska Kearney, Northwest Missouri and Ouachita will compete in regional preliminary matches May 11-12.
 
Washburn defeated Harding in the 2026 MIAA/GAC Championship finale to claim the Association’s automatic ticket into the NCAA postseason and the No. 1 seed in the Central Region. The Ichabods (18-5) will host Northwest Missouri and Ouachita in Topeka, Kan., for preliminary rounds. The Bearcats (11-7) will take on the Tigers (12-9) at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 11. The winner will advance to face Washburn at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12.
 
Harding (14-7) earned the No. 2 seed in the Central Region and will host Nebraska Kearney (13-5) in a preliminary match in Searcy, Ark., at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 11.
 
The winning team from each site will advance to the final rounds of the 2026 NCAA Division II Men’s Tennis Championship, held May 20-24, in Surprise, Arizona. Pacific West Conference and the City of Surprise will serve as the championship hosts.
