Mules Baseball Hosts Augustana in NCAA Super Regional Championship May 21-23

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Only 16 baseball teams remain in the 2026 NCAA Division II postseason. The University of Central Missouri hosts Augustana University in the 2026 NCAA Central Super Regional Championship, May 21-23, at the Mules’ Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field. The winner of the best-of-three series will advance to the final rounds of the 2026 NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship, held May 29 – June 6 in Cary, North Carolina.
 
No. 3-seeded Central Missouri (37-15) is scheduled to face the No. 5-seeded Augustana (45-14) in a best-of-three NCAA Division II Super Regional May 21-23 at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field in Warrensburg, Mo. Game one is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, with game two currently scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday, May 22, and, if necessary, game three on Saturday, May 23, at 1 p.m.
 
Baseball fans can purchase tickets online at UCMAthletics.com/tickets or onsite at the Crane Stadium ticket window. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for visiting students, seniors (60 and older), and military members. Tickets for children aged 6-17 will be sold for $4, and Central Missouri students will be free of charge, courtesy of the President’s Office. After receiving an at-large bid into the 2026 NCAA Division II baseball postseason, No. 22-ranked Central Missouri collected three straight wins in the NCAA Central Region II Tournament, hosted by Rogers State University in Claremore, Okla., to advance and host the NCAA Division II Central Super Regional Championship in Warrensburg for the third consecutive season. No. 17-ranked Augustana is coming off an incredible run through the NCAA Central Region I Tournament, knocking off host and No. 3-ranked Pittsburg State to advance to the Super Regional.
 
The Mules hold a narrow 6-5 lead in the all-time series against Augustana that dates back to 2001. Central Missouri and Augustana last met during the 2024 NCAA Central Regional in Warrensburg, with the Mules going 2-0 against the Vikings, winning 18-3 and 13-2. 
 
The winner of the NCAA Central Super Regional will join seven other super regional champions in the final rounds of the 2026 NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship, hosted May 29 – June 6 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.

Central Missouri has 20 total NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship appearances, including four in the past six seasons (2025, 2024, 2021 and 2019). Mule Baseball last won the NCAA Division II national title in 2003. The Vikings have only advanced to the final rounds of the NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship twice in 2023 and 2018, winning the national title in 2018.
