INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division II Baseball Committee has selected the 56 teams that will participate in the 2026 NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship, naming five MIAA teams advancing to the NCAA postseason. Pittsburg State, Rogers State, Central Missouri, Northwest Missouri and Missouri Southern will all compete in the NCAA Central Region Championship, hosted by the Gorillas and Hillcats May 14-16.

Fifty-six NCAA Division II baseball teams will open the 2026 postseason in regional, double-elimination tournaments at 16 different regional sites May 14-16. The winners from each regional site will advance to the best-of-three super-regional competition, hosted by the highest-seeded team advancing in the region, May 21-23. Super Regional winners will then advance to the double-elimination national championship finals May 29 - June 6 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.

The MIAA represents five of the eight total teams competing in the Central Region. As the top two seeds in the region, Pittsburg State and Rogers State were awarded hosting privileges and will each welcome three Central Region opponents on their campuses this upcoming weekend.

The Central Region consists of three automatic qualifiers and five additional at-large bids from the MIAA, the Great American Conference (GAC), and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Pitt State baseball won its first MIAA tournament title since 1999 to claim the MIAA’s AQ, Arkansas Tech won the GAC’s AQ, and Augustana was awarded the AQ in the NSIC.

Joining the top-seeded Gorillas (43-9) in Pittsburg, Kan., is No. 4 seed Northwest Missouri (26-16), No. 5 seed Augustana (41-13), and No. 8 seed Arkansas Tech (35-20). Joining the No. 2-seeded Hillcats (38-13) in Claremore, Okla., is No. 3 seed Central Missouri (35-15), No. 6 seed Minnesota State (40-14), and No. 7 seed Missouri Southern (33-17).
