KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced a standings update for the 2025-26 Commissioner’s Cup presented by Impact. Pittsburg State University continues to lead the standings following the completion of the fall and winter sport seasons.

The MIAA Commissioner’s Cup, presented by Impact, is the Association’s all-sports trophy awarded to the league’s top-performing university at the end of each academic year. The Commissioner’s Cup point system reflects each team’s finish in MIAA-only competition. The number of points awarded per sport is based on the number of schools that participate in that particular sport. Each institution’s point total is then divided by the number of athletic programs it sponsors, yielding an overall average finish for the school.

"The MIAA is grateful to have a company like Impact to be the presenting sponsor for this important MIAA award," said MIAA Commissioner Mike Racy. "Impact Signs is an industry leader in the marketing and branding space, and we appreciate their support of the MIAA conference office and our member institutions!"

Five new MIAA champions have been crowned since the last 2025-26 Commissioner’s Cup standings update (first update). Pittsburg State collected three MIAA titles in the fall and added two more this winter with the Gorillas sweeping the men’s and women’s MIAA indoor track and field championships. The Gorillas lead the standings with a scoring average of 12.22 points per sport.

Washburn jumped one spot in the standings to second place with 11.09 points per sport. Northwest Missouri dropped from second to third with a 10.5 scoring average, and Central Missouri jumped six spots from the fall standings to now rank fourth with 9.4 points per sport. Fort Hays State currently ranks fifth with 8.5 points per sport. The Tigers are followed closely by Nebraska Kearney in sixth with 8.23 points per sport.

The Ichabod basketball teams highlighted Washburn’s winter seasons. The Washburn men were crowned the 2025-26 MIAA champions for the second straight season, while the Ichabod women finished third in the regular season standings. Central Missouri's basketball teams also led the way with the Jennies claiming the women’s basketball title with a league record of 17-2 and the Mules finished as the MIAA runners-up. Central Oklahoma won the final winter sport title with the Broncho wrestling team going undefeated at 5-0 in the regular season to be crowned MIAA champions for the sixth consecutive season.
