INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association totaled 100 individual event entries and seven relay team entries with multiple athletes competing in more than one event at the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championships, hosted March 13-14 at Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, VA.
Eight men’s teams and nine women’s teams will represent the MIAA at the 2026 Indoor National Championships. The two-day event is scheduled to begin with the men’s heptathlon at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 13, with field and track events beginning at 2 p.m. that day. The competition resumes at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, with the women’s pentathlon, followed by the remaining field and track events beginning at 12 p.m.
MIAA men totaled
53 individual entries and four relay teams, led by MIAA Champion Pittsburg State with 22 total entries and two qualifying relay teams. Northwest Missouri men had seven individual entries and the league’s remaining two relay teams. Missouri Southern also totaled seven individual entries, while Central Missouri sends five. MIAA women totaled
47 individual entries and had three qualifying relay teams. The Gorilla women also led the league with 19 individual entries and two relay teams, while Missouri South will send six individuals and Northwest Missouri will have five individuals and the league’s remaining relay team.

Sixteen MIAA student-athletes (nine men, seven women) qualified for two events, while four others (three women, one man) are set to compete in three different events at the 2026 indoor championships:
- Kennedi Cline, Northwest Missouri – Women’s 400 Meter Dash, Women’s 4x400 Meter Relay & Women’s Distance Medley Relay
- Marie Dea, Northwest Missouri – Women’s 800 Meter Run, Women’s 4x400 Meter Relay & Women’s Distance Medley Relay
- Caden Williams, Pittsburg State – Men’s 400 Meter Relay, Men’s 4x400 Meter Relay & Men’s Distance Medley Relay
- Jazmine Williamson, Pittsburg State – Women’s High Jump, Women’s Long Jump & Women’s Triple Jump
The Pittsburg State women are the defending indoor national champions after winning the program’s first-ever indoor title at the 2025 championship. Pitt State men are the three-time defending NCAA Division II indoor national champions, taking home the indoor team title in 2025, 2024 and 2023.
