ST. JOSEPH, MO – Rogers State University’s Cade McCall was named the Athletic Solutions “A Game” Scholar-Athlete of the 2026 MIAA Men’s Cross Country Championship. The honor makes it back-to-back “A Game” Scholar-Athlete awards for McCall after earning the title at the Association’s 2026 outdoor track and field championships.

All 12 MIAA men’s cross country programs meet in St. Joseph, Missouri, on Saturday, November 7, for the Association’s postseason cross country championships. Among the NCAA Division II men’s cross country runners competing in the championship, Rogers State’s Cade McCall was named the championship’s “A Game” Scholar-Athlete for his on- and off-course contributions this season.

Established by the MIAA in 2022, the “A Game” Scholar-Athlete Award presented by Athletic Solutions acknowledges the overall excellence of a student-athlete by recognizing one individual who has contributed to their team’s success while also achieving the highest academic standard among peers. The student-athlete honored with the “A Game” Scholar-Athlete Award must be an active member of a qualifying team and must have a minimum of two terms completed at the institution.

McCall is a senior from Glenpool, Oklahoma, on the Hillcats men’s cross country team. He’s pursuing his bachelor’s degree in applied technology-cybersecurity and information assurance and has a perfect 4.0 grade point average. McCall ran in three events this fall, highlighted by a 10th-place  finish at the Griffon Open. He also recorded an eight-kilometer personal record at the Augustana Invite on September 25, placing 26th overall in 25:01.6.

McCall is the second Hillcat to be named the “A Game” Scholar-Athlete of the MIAA men’s cross country championship and continues to be just the third Rogers State student-athlete to earn the honor overall.
