2025-26 MIAA Women's Golf Preseason Coaches Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its preseason rankings for the 2025-26 women’s golf season. MIAA head coaches selected the Jennies of Central Missouri as their preseason favorites for the fourth consecutive season.  
 
Central Missouri topped the 2025-26 MIAA women’s golf preseason coaches poll with 143 points and 11 first-place votes. The Jennies are coming off a historic 2024-25 season after winning the MIAA championship, the NCAA Division II Regional Championship, and finishing as the national runner-up at the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championship. It was the first time in program history that Jennies Golf captured the Central Region title and made an appearance in the NCAA Division II National Championship. In addition, Central Missouri also won its third consecutive MIAA Women's Golf Championship and set a new program record for best four-player team scoring average at 296.2 over 30 rounds.  
 
Arkansas-Fort Smith collected 120 total points in the coaches’ poll to finish second in the preseason rankings. After placing third at the 2025 MIAA championship, the Lions went on to earn a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Central Regional Championship and advanced to the Division II National Championship for the first time in program history.
 
Nebraska Kearney was picked third in the preseason poll with 108 points while Northwest Missouri finished fourth with 104 points. The Bearcats were the runners-up of the 2025 MIAA women’s golf championship – their highest finish in program history. Rogers State concluded the coaches’ top five with 100 points and the remaining first-place votes (2).
 
Missouri Western finished sixth in the coaches poll with 90 points and Central Oklahoma finished seventh with 84 points. Washburn was picked eighth with 73 points with the Lions of Missouri Southern close behind in ninth with 72 points. Northeastern State occupied the No. 10 spot with 43 points, followed by Newman, Pittsburg State and Fort Hays State.
 
The 2025-26 season will be the first ever for Pittsburg State’s women’s golf program and the second for Washburn’s women.
