KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its academic awards for the 2025 baseball season. Two-hundred and 28 NCAA Division II student-athletes from all 13 MIAA baseball member institutions were honored by the Association for their work in the classroom. There were also 16 players named MIAA Scholar-Athletes and 12 who earned the Association's Academic Excellence honor.

The league’s prestigious Academic Excellence Award was achieved by 12 baseball student-athletes in the 2025 season. An Academic Excellence award recipient must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of at least 4.00 at the certifying member institution. The honoree also must have at least two terms of grades reported at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

The Scholar-Athlete Award distinction went to 16 baseball players who excelled on the field and in the classroom. In the classroom, a Scholar-Athlete is an individual that has a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.50 or better at the certifying member institution and have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution. On the field, the student-athlete must also receive All-MIAA honors in the current season to achieve the full Scholar-Athlete status.

Two-hundred and 28 baseball players were named to the MIAA's 2025 Academic Honor Roll. To be recognized on the league’s Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution. They also need at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

Only three baseball student-athletes earned all three of the Association's academic honors – Central Missouri's Vance Tobol, Newman's Eli Wohl and Rogers State's Colton Anderson.
