KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its Academic Awards for the 2025 men's and women's outdoor track and field season. Four-hundred and 55 NCAA Division II student-athletes from all 21 MIAA outdoor track and field programs were named to the Association's Academic Honor Roll. There were also 49 athletes named MIAA Scholar-Athletes and 42 who earned the league's Academic Excellence honor.

The league's prestigious Academic Excellence Award was achieved by 42 student-athletes (30 women, 12 men) competing in 2025 outdoor track and field season. The Academic Excellence award is given to student-athletes who have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of at least 4.00 at the certifying member institution. The honoree also must have at least two terms of grades reported at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

The Scholar-Athlete distinction went to 49 student-athletes (25 men, 24 women) who excelled in the classroom and on the track. In the classroom, an MIAA Scholar-Athlete is an individual who has a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.50 or better at the certifying member institution, and have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution. The student-athlete must have also earned All-MIAA honors by placing in the top-three in an event at the Association's 2025 Outdoor Track and Field Championships to fully achieve MIAA Scholar-Athlete status.

Four-hundred and 55 outdoor track and field student-athletes (228 men, 227 women) were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
