KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri Southern State University Athletic Director Rob Mallory has been appointed to chair the MIAA’s Athletic Administrators Council (AAC).

Rob Mallory just completed his fourth academic year as the Director of Athletics at Missouri Southern. Selected by his peers, he will hold the position as the Association’s AAC Chair from July 1, 2025, through June of 2027.

“We’re very excited for Rob Mallory’s term as our AAC Chair,” said MIAA Commissioner Mike Racy. “As the MIAA continues to navigate the changing landscape of college sports, and as the MIAA helps reshape the NCAA for institutions committed to the education-centered model for intercollegiate athletics, we are fortunate as an Association to have leaders like Rob Mallory elected to chair our leadership groups!”

The Association’s AAC is made up of athletic directors and senior women administrators from all 14 MIAA institutions. The focus of the AAC is to review and act upon recommendations from coaches and other MIAA professional groups, while also taking actions related to officiating programs, championships, schedules and administrative manuals.

The new role will be Mallory’s second chair position in the MIAA, as he is currently chairing the Association’s Championships and Officiating Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the MIAA Network Task Force and is the AAC liaison for the sport of football.

A tenured NCAA Division II athletics director, Mallory once served a four-year term on the NCAA Division II National Football Committee and has also served on the NCAA Division II Regional Advisory Committees for football and baseball.

Mallory graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2002 with a B.B.A. in management information systems and served as the head football manager in 2001. He then earned a master's degree in sport administration from Xavier University in 2007.
