ALTAMONTE SPRING, Fla. – The University of Nebraska Kearney will represent the MIAA in the final rounds of the 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis National Championship, hosted May 21-25 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Nebraska Kearney upset Washburn 4-2 in the NCAA Central Regional Tournament to be one of 16 teams to advance to the final rounds of the Division II women’s tennis national championship in Florida. It’s the second straight season the Lopers advance to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and the fifth overall time in program history.

The Lopers (20-5) tabbed the No. 10 seed in the championship bracket and are scheduled to take on No. 7 seed Azusa Pacific University (20-4) at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21. The match will be a rematch of last year’s Sweet Sixteen matchup with Nebraska Kearney defeating the Cougars 4-1.

The winner of the match will advance to the national quarterfinals to face either the defending national champion, No. 2 seeded Nova Southeastern, or No. 15 seeded Slippery Rock.
