SAINT PAUL, Minn./ RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Fourteen MIAA baseball student-athletes were named to the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-Central Region team and 12 received honors onto the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Central Region team. Central Oklahoma’s Caden Robertson was also recognized as the Central Region Player of the Year for both associations.

After helping the No. 4 seeded Bronchos win the 2025 MIAA Baseball Championship, Robertson was named the Central Region Player of the Year by the D2CCA and the NCBWA. Also crowned the conference's Co-Player of the Year, Robertson reigned at the top of the MIAA with 76 RBI on the year and is leveled for the No. 1 spot with 23 home runs, which tied a season record for UCO. The senior outfielder led the Bronchos with 75 hits, 19 doubles, four triples and 171 total bases while hitting .361.

Joining him with D2CCA First Team All-Region honors was fellow MIAA Co-Player of the Year Jacob Steele of Central Missouri and Mules’ teammate Dayvin Johnson. Fort Hays State’s Ty Riley and Pittsburg State’s Kolby Dougan, the conference’s Co-Pitchers of the Year, received accolades along with Gorilla counterpart Daegan Brewer. Rounding out MIAA athletes was Washburn shortstop Jett Buck.

The seven MIAA first team selections were the highest amount over other Central Region competitors from the Greater American Conference (GAC) and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).

Robertson’s teammate Dax Sharp found a spot on the Second Team as a starting pitcher. A pair of Gorillas – Maddox Thornton and Alex Rodgers – and Mules – Vance Tobol and JD McReynolds – recieved D2CCA Second Team All-Region honors.

Central Missouri led the MIAA with three NCBWA First Team All-Central Region selections as Steele, Tobol and McReynolds all earned nods. Joining the trio was Brewer, Buck, Dougan, Robertson and Sharp as the eight conference athletes took up half the first team awards.

Making Second Team distinctions from the NCBWA were Riley, Rodgers, Johnson and Thornton while Jackson Mervosh of Washburn and Colton Anderson of Rogers State both received a spot.

Pittsburg State and Central Missouri remain as the sole MIAA teams competing in the NCAA Division II postseason. The two teams will face off in best-of-three game series for the NCAA Division II Super Regional Championship, beginning on May 22 at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field in Warrensburg, Missouri.
