2025 MIAA Women's Tennis Postseason Awards & All-MIAA Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its postseason awards and All-MIAA teams for the 2025 women’s tennis season. Twenty-four singles players and 13 doubles pairs earned postseason honors for the 12-week regular season, highlighted by the Association’s four major award winners.
 
Missouri Western claimed two of the four major postseason honors with Cristina Granero Boj crowned the MIAA Player of the Year and Celia Castaño Malnero named the MIAA Freshman of the Year. Nebraska Kearney’s Narindra Ranaivo was honored with the Association’s Sportsmanship Award and Washburn’s Kirby Ronning was selected as the MIAA Coach of the Year by his peers.
 
Cristina Granero Boj earned the 2025 Player of the Year title after recording a league-best seven wins against MIAA opponents at the No. 1 position. The junior from Malaga, Spain, was also a First Team All-MIAA Doubles selection with teammate Elena Rey Garcia.
 
Western’s 2025 Freshman of the Year Celia Castaño Malnero finished 6-3 against league opponents in singles competition, mostly from the No. 3 position.  The first year from Asturias, Spain also collected postseason honors for her doubles play, named an Honorable Mention selection with teammate Johanna Priedite.
 
Narindra Ranaivo earned the MIAA’s Sportsmanship Award in the 2025 season. A senior from Moramanga, Madagascar helped Nebraska Kearney to a share of the 2025 regular season conference title with an MIAA record of 8-1. Ranaivo was also a First Team All-MIAA singles and doubles selection with a 6-2 singles record (MIAA) and a 7-2 record in MIAA doubles competition, playing with teammate Tanya Midzi from the No. 2 position.
 
Ichabods head coach Kirby Ronning was voted the 2025 Coach of the Year after leading Washburn to a share of the MIAA regular season title with a record of 8-1. The shared title was the Ichabods’ first regular season championship since 2019. First is Ronning’s first MIAA Women’s Coach of the Year honor and his third Coach of the Year award overall. The fifth-year head coach was also named MIAA/GAC Coach of the Year for the 2025 men’s tennis season.
