KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its postseason awards and All-MIAA/GAC teams for the 2025 men’s tennis season. Twenty singles players and nine doubles duos received postseason honors, highlighted by the league’s five major award winners.
 
Washburn’s Tim Hammes was crowned the MIAA/GAC Player of the Year and Newman’s Pavel Vysotin earned the Freshman of the Year title. Arkansas-Fort Smith’s Eduardo Bribiesca and Ouachita’s Phil Exner were both honored with the Association's Sportsmanship Award and Washburn’s head coach Kirby Ronning was voted the MIAA/GAC Coach of the Year by his peers.
 
The MIAA awarded six First Team All-MIAA singles selections and three First Team All-MIAA doubles teams. There were also nine singles players and three doubles teams who earned Second Team All-MIAA honors. Seven singles players and five doubles teams were named Honorable Mention selections in the 2025 season.

The Ichabods, led by MIAA/GAC Player of the Year Tim Hammes, finished the 2025 regular season undefeated at 5-0 in the North Division while Ouachita led the South Division with an undefeated record of 4-0.
 
The top four teams in the North Division and the top four teams out of the South Division meet in Springfield, Mo., April 30 – May 2 for the 2025 MIAA/GAC Men’s Tennis Championship, hosted at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
