JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma won the team title at the 2025 MIAA Men’s Golf Championship with a four-stroke lead. The victory also crowned the Bronchos MIAA regular season champions with a 10.5-point lead in the Association’s 2024-25 designated event standings.
All 12 MIAA men’s golf programs met in Jefferson City for the league’s 2025 postseason tournament, hosted at the Jefferson City Country Club. The championship was scheduled for April 21-23, but due to heavy rainfall over the weekend, the tournament was moved to a two-day event with teams playing two rounds on Tuesday, April 22 and the final round on Wednesday, April 23.
The Bronchos took home the 2025 tournament title with a 54-hole team total of 857 (-7). Central Missouri was the championship’s runner-up with a three-round scorecard of 861 (-3). MIAA newcomer Arkansas-Fort Smith finished in the top three with a final score of 864 (even), followed by Fort Hays State in fourth place (871, +7). Washburn and Missouri Southern finished in a tie for fifth at 878 (+14) while Northeastern State was close behind at 879 (+15).
The 2025 MIAA championship is Central Oklahoma’s fourth since joining the Association in 2012 and first since 2017. The 2024-25 regular season MIAA title is also the Bronchos fourth regular season championship in program history and first since the 2016-17 season.
Arkansas-Fort Smith’s
Jeremy Tandoy was crowned the 2025 individual champion. The senior from Broken Arrow, Okla., recorded rounds of 69 (-3), 68 (-4) and 72 (even) to capture the individual title with a three-round total of 209 (-7).
Finishing just two strokes behind Tandoy was his teammate,
Chandler Cooke, the league’s 2025 individual runner-up. The sophomore from Belton, Texas, carded a 54-hole total of 211 (-5).

A trio of Bronchos led the league’s 2024-25 individual designated event standings. Central Oklahoma’s
Bennett Baldwin was crowned the MIAA Golfer of the Year with a first-place finish in individual standings. The senior from Stillwater, Okla., placed in the top six in all four MIAA-designated events throughout the season. Baldwin totaled 42 points in the standings, followed by teammates
Jordan Wilson (38.25 points) and
Baylor Bostick (33.5 points).
The top 15 student-athletes in the final 2024-25 individual designated event standings earn All-MIAA honors. The 15 individuals who earned All-MIAA honors in the 2024-25 men’s golf season are listed below.
Central Missouri’s
Lawson Barks was named the MIAA Freshman of the Year for being the first-finishing first-year in the 2024-25 individual designated event standings. A native of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Barks placed in the top 15 in each of the three designated events he competed in this season with his highest finish (tied-8th) coming in the 2025 postseason tournament.
