2025 Women's Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Poll Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its preseason coaches poll for the 2025 women’s outdoor track and field season.   
 
Pittsburg State, the Association's reigning indoor and outdoor champion, were the unanimous favorites to finish at the top of the league by MIAA coaches. The Gorillas recently captured the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor National title and are also the defending NCAA Division II Outdoor National Champions. 
 
Northwest Missouri tabbed the No. 2 spot in the coaches' preseason rankings, followed by Washburn in third and Missouri Southern in fourth while Central Missouri concluded the coaches' top five. 
 
Below are the final results of track and field coaches preseason poll for the 2025 outdoor season. 
 
The outdoor season is officially underway with teams competing throughout the Midwest this weekend. The 2025 MIAA Outdoor Championships are set for May 2-4 at Emporia State University's Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas.
