KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Nebraska Kearney’s Crew Howard has been crowned the MIAA’s Most Dominant Wrestler of the 2024-25 NCAA Division II season.
The 2024-25 MIAA wrestling season concluded at the 2025 NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championship, hosted March 14-15 at the Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis, Ind. Nebraska Kearney captured the 2025 national title with 115.0 team points for the Lopers’ fifth Division II wrestling crown in program history and first since 2022.

Crew Howard entered the national championship as the No. 1 seeded 285-pound wrestler and finished fourth overall to earn All-American honors for the second consecutive season.
A redshirt junior from Clarinda, Iowa, Howard led all MIAA wrestlers with an average of 4.33 points per match in the 2024-25 season.
Howard led the top-ranked Lopers with an individual record of 28-2 this season. He totaled a team-high 136 points over the season with 12 wins by fall, five technical fall victories, six major decision wins, and five decisions.
Howard was honored as the MIAA’s Co-Wrestler of the Year and was the league’s First Team All-MIAA selection at 285 pounds. He was also named the Association’s “A Game” Scholar-Athlete of the 2024-25 season with a 4.0 grade point average as a business administration major.
Howard is the first Loper to earn the MIAA’s Most Dominant Wrestler award since Nebraska Kearney’s Matt Malcom earned the honor in the 2021-22 season.
