INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Pittsburg State University’s women's indoor track and field enjoyed a day for the history books Saturday (March 15) as the Gorillas captured the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championship at Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana Fairgrounds.

The Gorillas compiled 63 points in the three-day meet to claim the program's first-ever indoor national championship and third all-time NCAA Division II track and field national title. Minnesota State University secured the national runner-up finish with 58 points and Grand Valley State University placed third with 40 points.

Pitt State hoisted its first-ever indoor crown after finishing as the national runner-up in 2024, the program's previous benchmark season. The Gorillas finished fourth overall in both 2016 and 2017. The Pitt women collected 13 All-America finishes at the 2025 indoor championships.

MIAA women totaled 19 individual First Team All-America finishes and two All-America relay teams. Below is a list of the league’s men and women who earned First Team All-America honors at the 2025 indoor championships.

The Gorilla men also captured the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championship, making Pittsburg State the first Division II Institution to sweep both men's and women's indoor track & field titles in the same season since St. Augustine's College did so in 2007.
