INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Twenty-four wrestlers from all six MIAA wrestling intuitions advanced to the 2025 NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championship, hosted March 14-15 at the Carteva Coliseum in Indianapolis, Ind.
The 2025 NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championships features 18 individuals at each of the 10 weights for a total of 180 qualifiers. The MIAA will be represented in all 10 weight classes.
Nebraska Kearney led the league with an advancing wrestler in each weight class, followed by Central Oklahoma with six qualifiers, Central Missouri with four and Fort Hays State with two. Newman and Ouachita each had one national qualifier.
The MIAA was awarded four top seeds when the official brackets were released on Tuesday, March 11. Central Missouri’s Jakason Burks is the top seed in the 125-pound bracket, Central Oklahoma’s Peter Rolle is the top seed in the 133-pound bracket, and Nebraska Kearney’s Crew Howard is the top-seeded heavyweight.
The MIAA has won the last three consecutive wrestling national titles – Central Oklahoma in 2024 and 2023 and Nebraska Kearney in 2022.
The Lopers enter the 2025 national championship as the top-ranked team in Division II. The Bronchos currently rank No. 3 in the latest Division II wrestling rankings, followed by the Mules at No. 15 and the Ouachita Tigers at No. 25. The Fort Hays State Tigers received votes into the top 25 in the most recent poll.
The action begins Friday, March 14, at 9 a.m. (CT) with finals matches scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, March 15. MIAA fans can follow the action with live scoring on
