INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Four volleyball teams will represent the MIAA in the 2025 NCAA Division II postseason. Nebraska Kearney will host Central Oklahoma, Missouri Western, Washburn and four other teams in a Central Region Championship Tournament December 4-6 in the Lopers’ Health & Sports Center in Kearney, Nebraska.
Sixty-four Division II volleyball teams advanced to the 2025 postseason – 23 teams earned automatic qualification, with the remaining 41 teams selected at-large by the Division II Women's Volleyball Committee. Eight teams will meet in Kearney, Nebraska on Thursday, December 3, for the opening matches of the regional tournament.
Nebraska Kearney, the MIAA tournament champion and regular season co-champion, earned to top seed in the Central Region and hosting privileges. The No. 1-seeded Lopers (29-3) will face Great American Conference (GAC) tournament champion, No. 8 seed Oklahoma Baptist (22-9), in the regional quarterfinals at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Missouri Western, Central Oklahoma and Washburn each earned at-large bids into the NCAA postseason. The No. 5-seeded Griffons (21-7) take on the No. 4 seed St. Cloud State at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The No. 6-seeded Ichabods (26-4) open the regional tournament at 11 a.m. on Thursday as they face No. 3 seed Wayne State (27-4). The Bronchos (27-5) will be the No. 7 seed and will battle No. 2 seed Concordia-St. Paul at 1:30 p.m.
The winners of Thursday’s quarterfinal matches will advance to the regional semifinals set for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, December 5.
