MIAA Game of the Week on KCMI, 38 The Spot Returns For 2025-26 Basketball Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association is excited to announce that its partnership with Scripps Media and its independent television station, KCMI, will continue in 2026 with the broadcast of a Game of the Week during the MIAA men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

Beginning December 4, KMCI, 38 The Spot will live broadcast MIAA basketball games from ten different MIAA campuses throughout the 2025-26 NCAA Division II men’s and women’s basketball seasons. The MIAA Game of the Week broadcast schedule will conclude with the live broadcasts of the men's and women's championship games at the 2026 MIAA Basketball Championships, hosted at Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City on March 8.

All MIAA basketball contests throughout the 2025-26 season will continue to be streamed live on The MIAA Network.

"We are very excited to bring these collegiate basketball regional broadcasts to 38 the Spot again this season where we can connect with the 120,000 MIAA alumni in Kansas City, and we can continue to spread awareness of the quality and competitiveness of MIAA men's and women's basketball," said MIAA Commissioner Mike Racy.

KMCI, 38 the Spot, is in its second year of broadcasting MIAA football and basketball games of the week.  The Spot is also the home to KC Chiefs pre-season football, KC Current women's professional soccer, Sporting KC men's professional soccer, the KC Mavericks minor league hockey, and the KC Monarchs minor league baseball.
