Seven MIAA Runners Earned All-America Honors at 2025 NCAA Cross Country National Championships

KENOSHA, Wis. – Seven MIAA student-athletes earned All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA Division II men’s and women’s cross country national championships, hosted November 22 at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Wisconsin.
 
Six MIAA teams and eight individuals qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II cross country national championship. Northwest Missouri led the MIAA in the men’s 10K championship race with an 11th-place finish, while Pittsburg State earned a league-best 13th-place finish in the women’s 6K championship race.
 
Four MIAA men and three MIAA women placed within the top 40 NCAA Division II runners to earn All-America status.
 
Northwest Missouri’s Aziz Mohammed and Drew Atkins led the MIAA men, finishing 13th and 14th individually, with Mohammed closing the finish line in 30:12.8 and Atkins in 30:15.1. Washburn’s Donald Kibet was close behind in 16th place, clocking a time of 30:19.6. Nebraska Kearney’s Nick Abdalla earned the final All-America honor on the men’s side with a 39th-place finish in 30:43.0.
 
Pittsburg State’s Paige Mullen led the MIAA women with a top ten finish in the national championship race. Mullen placed 10th in 20:33.1. Close behind Mullen was the back-to-back MIAA champion, Fort Hays State’s Emily Diercks-McCullough, with a 12th-place finish in 20:38.0. The Gorillas earned a second All-America honor with Hannah Gibson’s 23rd-place finish in 20:52.1.
 
Washburn placed 22nd overall, followed by Nebraska Kearney in 26th and Pittsburg State in 27th in the men’s championship. The Loper women placed 26th overall in the women’s championship.
