2025 All-MIAA Volleyball Teams and Postseason Awards Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its major postseason awards and All-MIAA teams from the 2025 volleyball season. Forty-five NCAA Division II volleyball players earned All-MIAA honors in the 2025 season, highlighted by the league’s six major award winners.
 
The 2025 MIAA volleyball regular season concluded on Saturday, November 15, with Nebraska Kearney, Missouri Western and Washburn sharing the regular season championship crown.  
 
Nebraska Kearney and Washburn led the league with seven All-MIAA honorees apiece, followed by Central Missouri, Central Oklahoma and Missouri Western with six athletes honored each. Emporia State collected five All-MIAA honors, Fort Hays State received three, Pittsburg State and Northwest Missouri each had two, and Missouri Southern had one All-MIAA honoree.  
 
Washburn’s Austin Broadie was named the MIAA Player of the Year. The senior middle hitter led the Ichabods with 3.31 kills and 3.62 points per set. She totaled 298 kills in the regular season with a .330 hitting percentage and ranks in the MIAA’s top five in each of those categories.
 
Central Oklahoma collected two major postseason honors with Sydney Huck named the Hitter of the Year and Kaitlyn Parrott honored as the Libero of the Year. Huck led the Bronchos and the league with 3.81 kills per set while Parrott finished the regular season with an MIAA-leading 5.67 digs per set. Parrott also ranked second in the league with 43 service aces on the year.
 
Pittsburg State’s Anna Dean earned the league’s newest postseason honor – the MIAA Blocker of the Year. Dean totaled 147 blocks (34 solo, 113 assisted) in the regular season for an MIAA-leading 1.55 blocks per set. The senior middle blocker also averaged 2.37 kills per set to lead the Gorillas with 336 points on the year (3.46 points per set).
 
Nebraska Kearney’s Peyton Neff was crowned the MIAA Setter of the Year for the second consecutive season. The fifth-year setter totaled 1,059 total assists in the regular season to lead the league with 11.39 assists per set.
 
Emporia State’s Lavra Krizanic was honored as the MIAA Freshman of the Year in the 2025 season. The first-year outside hitter ranked in the league’s top-20 in kills and points per set. Her 2.66 kills and 3.22 points per set ranked second within the Hornets’ offense. She also averaged 2.2 digs per set and totaled 49 blocks on the year.
 
Missouri Western Head Coach Jessica Fey was honored as the MIAA Coach of the Year by her peers. Fey led the Griffons to a share of the regular season title for the second time in program history and the first time since 2017. Western finished the year 13-3 against MIAA opponents and enter the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the 2025 MIAA Championship.
