KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos continue to lead the 2025-26 MIAA men’s golf standings through two of the Association’s designated events. All 11 MIAA men’s golf teams wrapped up fall competition earlier this week at Missouri Southern’s Fall Invitational, where the Bronchos won their second consecutive designated event title.
MIAA standings for men’s golf are calculated from points awarded based on team and individual placings at four separate designated events throughout the season. Points are assigned to MIAA teams and individuals based on their finish in each event. The top 15 individuals from the MIAA are awarded points based on their individual placing at the designated events, and golfers must compete as part of their team’s official five-man roster (not as an individual) in the event to earn points towards MIAA standings.
The Designated Events for the 2025-26 season were Northeastern State’s
Men's Classic (Sept. 15-16) and Missouri Southern's
Fall Invitational (October 20-21) in the fall. The action returns in the spring with Pittsburg State's
Silverback Invite (March 30-31) and finally the
2026 MIAA Men's Golf Championship (April 12-15).
Central Oklahoma won the team titles at the NSU Men’s Classic and the MSSU Fall Invitational for a steady lead in the 2025-26 standings. Washburn ranks second in the teams standings with Central Missouri and Pittsburg State close behind in a tie for third.
The Bronchos dominated the field of 18 teams at the MSSU Fall Invite earlier this week, winning the event with a 33-stroke lead (-10, 854). Washburn was the runner-up of the invite with a 54-hole team total of 887 (+23), followed by Missouri Western in third with a total score of 891 (+27).
Nick Canales of Central Oklahoma now leads the individual standings after securing top-five finishes in each designated event this fall. The Bronchos junior placed third at the NSU Men’s Classic and fifth at the MSSU Fall Invitational for a one-point lead in the individual standings. Canales’s teammate Bryant Polhill ranks second in the individual standings, followed by Pittsburg State’s Mason White in third.
Below are the current 2025-26 MIAA men’s golf standings following the first designated event of the season.
The next MIAA men’s golf standings update will be released after the conclusion of the Association’s third designated event of the 2025-26 season, hosted by Pittsburg State, March 30-31 at the Crestwood Country Club in Pittsburg, Kan.
