KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Pittsburg State University hosts the 2025 MIAA Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 25, at the Four Oaks Golf Course in Pittsburg, Kansas.
All 13 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams will travel to Pittsburg, Kansas, this weekend to compete in the Association’s postseason cross country championships. The women’s six-kilometer race is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., with the men’s eight-kilometer set for an 11 a.m. start time. Live times and scoring will be provided by

An award presentation will take place at the finish line after the protest period following the women’s race. The top ten individuals will earn First Team All-MIAA honors and runners who place 11th through 20th will receive All-MIAA Honorable Mention honors.
Pittsburg State women enter the 2025 championship as the three-time defending champions. The Gorillas have won six of the last seven MIAA women’s cross country championships and lead the league with 14 team titles overall. Fort Hays State senior Emily Diercks is the defending individual champion, winning the 2024 championship with a time of 21:30.90 – the 12th-fastest 6K women’s time in championship history.
Northwest Missouri is the defending MIAA champion on the men’s side. The Bearcat men made history at the 2024 championship by capturing the program’s first MIAA cross country title since 1972. Northwest Missouri’s senior Drew Atkins is the top returner from last year’s championship, earning a fourth-place finish in the men’s 2024 8K race with a time of 23:38.88.
Gates and spectator parking will open at 8:00 a.m. Spectators must enter the park from the east end, at the intersection of Memorial Drive and McNally Road, and will be directed to park along McNally Road in Lincoln Park, near the ball fields.
