2025 MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Preseason Polls Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced the MIAA/GAC Men’s Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll for the 2025 season. Washburn and Harding were tabbed favorites to win their division by MIAA and Great American Conference (GAC) head coaches.

With the addition of the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, the MIAA is now an 11-team men's tennis conferences split into two divisions – North and South. The institutions competing in the North Division include Augustana, Emporia State, Nebraska Kearney, Newman, Northwest Missouri and Washburn. The institutions that represent the South Division are Arkansas-Fort Smith, Harding, Ouachita, Southeastern Oklahoma State and Southern Arkansas. 
 
The 2025 NCAA Division II spring men’s tennis season officially kicks off this weekend with MIAA/GAC contests scheduled to begin in mid-February.   NORTH DIVISION  
Washburn, the defending MIAA/GAC regular season and tournament champion, was picked to lead the North Division after collecting 55 points the majority first place votes with 10. The Ichabods undefeated against their North Division foes in the 2024 season and went on to swept Harding in the MIAA/GAC postseason championship to capture the program’s second consecutive tournament title.
 
Nebraska Kearney was picked second in the North Division rankings with 40 points and the remaining first place vote. Northwest Missouri was close behind the Lopers in third with 39 points.

  SOUTH DIVISION  
Harding was picked the lead the South Division with seven first place selections and 43 total points. The Bison led the division last season with a record of 3-1 against divisional opponents and advanced to the MIAA/GAC postseason title match where they fell to the Ichabods, 4-0. 
 
Ouachita finished second in the South Division poll with 34 points and one first place selected while Southern Arkansas was close behind with 33 points and three first place votes.
