Mules Return to NCAA Division II College Baseball World Series

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The top-ranked Central Missouri Mules Baseball advances to the NCAA Division II College Baseball World Series for the 20th time in program history. The final rounds of the 2024 national championship begin Saturday, June 1, in North Carolina.
 
The Mules captured the program’s 20th regional championship title after sweeping Arkansas-Monticello 2-0 in the Super Regional Championship, hosted at Central Missouri’s Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field May 24-25. The Mules took game one 11-6 and game two 9-4.
 
The Super Regional victory punched Central Missouri’s ticket to return to the NCAA Division II World Series. It’s the Mules’ fourth trip to the national finals under MIAA Coach of the Year Kyle Crookes. The Mules last advanced to the World Series in 2021, making it to the championship finale where they suffered a 3-5 loss to Wingate University for the national title. Central Missouri has placed in the top five in seven different Division II World Series since winning the national title in 2003.
 
Eight Division II baseball teams advance to Cary, N.C. for the eight-day, double-elimination 2024 NCAA Division II College Baseball World Series. Central Missouri (52-8) received the No. 1 seed in the World Series and will face No. 8-seeded Angelo State (41-19) at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday, June 1. The World Series is hosted at the USA Baseball National Training Complex at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.
