MIAA Totaled 135 All-America Honors at 2024 Outdoor National Championships

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association totaled 135 All-America honors at the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
 
The 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships were hosted May 23-25 in Emporia, Kan. All-America honors from the national championship were announced Tuesday (May 28) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
 
The MIAA dominated the outdoor championships with a total of 135 All-America honors – the most among all Division II conferences.
 
The MIAA totaled 69 First Team All-America performances and 38 Second Team All-America performances. A total of 106 MIAA student-athletes were crowned All-America selections in at least one event. Twenty-three athletes earned two All-America honors and six athletes earned All-America honors in three separate events.

Pittsburg State captured both the men's and women's outdoor national titles, becoming the first Division II institution to do so since Abilene Christian University in 2008. The MIAA also totaled nine individual national champions and one national championship relay team. 
 
Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top eight of their respective individual events and as part of a relay team at the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships earned First Team All-America honors. Athletes who finished ninth through 16th individually and ninth through 12th as part of a relay team were named Second Team All-America.
