KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its All-MIAA teams and postseason awards for the 2023-24 women’s golf season.
 
Seventeen women’s golf student-athletes received All-MIAA honors for the 2023-24 season. Central Missouri swept the league’s major postseason awards as Mia Rallo was named the MIAA Golfer of the Year, Maya McVey was selected as the MIAA Freshman of the Year and Chris Poe was voted the MIAA Coach of the Year by his peers.
 
Mia Rallo was voted the MIAA Golfer of the Year after being honored as the MIAA Freshman of the Year in the 2022-23 season. A sophomore from Wentzville, Mo., Rallo led all MIAA golfers with a 73.64 season scoring average and helped the Jennies to six team championships. She placed in the top 20 in all 10 of UCM’s events with five top-five finishes and three individual titles. Rallo decreased her season average by 4.8 strokes from last season – she led all MIAA first years in the 2022-23 season with a 78.43 scoring average.
 
MIAA Freshman of the Year Mia McVey ranked in the league’s top five with a scoring average of 74.77 through 22 rounds. The rookie from Blue Springs, Mo., McVey had six top-ten finishes on the season with her best being a third-place finish at the Central Region Preview. She placed among the top 25 in all by one of the Jennies 10 events this season.
 
Central Missouri head coach Chris Port was selected as the MIAA Coach of the Year for the second straight season. In his 12th season leading the Jennies, Port helped the team to an MIAA-leading six team titles. This is Port’s third Coach of the Year honor.
 
Below is the complete list of the women’s golfers who received All-MIAA honors in the 2023-24 season. The team includes five First Team selections, six Second Team selections and six Third Team selections.
 
Fifty-five MIAA golfers will tee off at the 2024 MIAA Women’s Golf Championship at 8 a.m. on the morning of Monday, April 22. The three-day championship tournament will be hosted April 22-24 at the Silo Ridge Golf & Country Club in Bolivar, Mo.
