INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Central Oklahoma is one of eight teams to advance to the final rounds of the 2024 NCAA Division II Volleyball National Championship. The Bronchos were awarded the No. 2 seed heading into the national quarterfinals this week in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
 
The No. 2 seeded Bronchos (33-2) will play No. 7 seed San Francisco State University (24-6) in the 2024 NCAA Division II National Quarterfinals on Thursday, December 12, at 1:30 p.m. in the Sioux Falls’ Sanford Pentagon.
 
Ranked No. 6 in the nation, Central Oklahoma upset No. 2-ranked St. Cloud State 3-2 in the Central Region Championship match to advance to the final rounds of the national championship. The victory was Central Oklahoma's first-ever regional volleyball title. The No. 21-ranked San Francisco State Gators advanced to the national quarterfinals after downing No. 10 Cal Poly Pomona 3-0 for the West Region title.

Thursday, Dec. 12
No. 3 seed Angelo St. vs. No. 6 seed Gannon at 12 p.m.
No. 2 seed Central Oklahoma vs. No. 7 seed San Francisco State at 2:30 p.m.
No. 4 seed Lynn vs. No. 5 seed Wingate at 5:30 p.m.
No. 1 seed Ferris State vs. No. 8 Bentley seed at 8 p.m.

Central Oklahoma is the first MIAA team to return to the final rounds of the NCAA Division II National Championship since Washburn competed for the national title in 2021. The MIAA has had two national runners-up (Washburn, 2021; Nebraska Kearney, 2019) but has yet to crown a volleyball national championship team.
