KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its preseason coaches polls for its men’s and women’s 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field seasons.

Pittsburg State was the unanimous favorite of MIAA head coaches in both the men’s and women’s preseason polls. The Gorillas swept the 2024 MIAA indoor and outdoor track and field championships and captured MIAA titles in men’s and women’s cross country. Pitt State is the first MIAA member school to accomplish that feat since 1988-89 (Southeast Missouri State University).

Northwest Missouri was selected as the runner-up in both men’s and women’s preseason polls. The Bearcat women placed second in both indoor and outdoor MIAA championships last season, while the Bearcat men are coming off a recent victory at the 2024 MIAA cross country championships.

Missouri Southern finished third in the men’s poll, followed by Central Missouri and Nebraska Kearney in a tie for fourth. Washburn was picked third in the women’s poll, followed by Missouri Southern in fourth and Fort Hays State in fifth.

The complete results of both the 2025 MIAA men’s and women’s indoor track and field preseason coaches poll are listed below.
