INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA announced the field of 28 advancing to the 2024 NCAA Division II Football Playoffs during Sunday night’s NCAA Division II Selection Show. Central Oklahoma and Pittsburg State earned a spot in the postseason and will each host first-round playoff games on Saturday, November 23.
Seven teams will battle for the Super Region Three title and a spot in the 2024 NCAA Division II national semifinals. Pittsburg State earned the No. 3 seed in the region and will host Ouachita Baptist University. Central Oklahoma was tabbed the No. 4 seed in the region and will host Harding University.

PITTSBURG STATE VS. HARDING
Pittsburg State wrapped up its regular season campaign with a 23-7 victory over Northwest Missouri on Saturday, November 16. The Gorillas (8-2) are set to host Harding (10-1) from the Great American Conference on Saturday, November 23, at Carnie Smith Stadium. Kickoff for the first-round action is set for 1 p.m. (CST).
The Gorillas are making their 21st trip to the NCAA Division II playoffs. Pitt State owns an all-time postseason record of 27-18 (27-7 record in playoff games at home), having made 27 trips to NAIA or NCAA playoff competition overall. Harding is the defending NCAA Division II national champion making its ninth all-time playoff appearance.
The winner of the Super Region Three matchup in Pittsburg will advance to face the winner between No. 2 seed Grand Valley State (10-1) and UIndy (10-1) on November 30.

CENTRAL OKLAHOMA VS. OUACHITA
Central Oklahoma is returning to the NCAA Division II Football Championships for the first time since 2003. The Bronchos posted a 10-1 record this year with a 9-1 mark in the MIAA to win the league title for the first time since joining the league in 2012.
Central Oklahoma will host Ouachita of the Great American Conference on Saturday, November 23. The Tigers also went 10-1 this season and won the Great American Conference title. The postseason contest at Chad Richison Stadium will be the first home playoff game in Edmond since the 1998 season.
The winner of the Super Region Three match in Edmond will head to Big Rapids, Michigan, to take on top-seeded Ferris State (10-1) for the second-round matchup on November 30.
