KANSAS CITY, MO – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its All-MIAA teams and postseason awards for the 2024 football season. One hundred and twenty-two NCAA Division II football players earned All-MIAA honors and six were named the Association’s major postseason award winners.
The twelve weeks of the 2024 regular season wrapped up on Saturday, November 16. Central Oklahoma finished the regular season 8-1 to win the MIAA championship for the first time since joining the league in 2012. Pittsburg State was the league’s runner-up with an MIAA record of 7-2.
The Bronchos led the league with 19 All-MIAA honors while Pittsburg State and Fort Hays State each totaled 18 honorees. Northwest Missouri collected 14 All-MIAA selections followed by Emporia State (13), Central Missouri (12), Missouri Western (12), Nebraska Kearney (8), Washburn (8) and Missouri Southern (4).
Central Missouri’s
Zach Zebrowski was honored as the MIAA Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The redshirt senior quarterback leads the league and the nation with 4,462 passing yards, 405.64 passing yards per game and 38 passing touchdowns and ranks fourth in the nation with a .696 completion percentage. Zebrowski is also one of the top ten rushing in the league with 41.9 rushing yards per game and seven rushing touchdowns.
Fort Hays State’s
Myles Menges was crowned the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year. The senior defensive lineman ranks in the league’s top ten in sacks (5.5) and passes defended (11) while leading the Tigers’ defense that ranks No. 1 in the MIAA.

Kobey Stephens was named the Special Teams Player of the Year (KR/PR) and
Ashton Schumann (WR) the Freshman of the Year.

Adam Dorrel was named the MIAA Coach of the Year by his peers after leading Central Oklahoma to the program’s first MIAA championship. Central Oklahoma led the league in the 2024 season with 6,018 total yards, 547.1 yards per game and 67 touchdowns. This is Dorrel's first MIAA Coach of the Year honor with the Bronchos and third overall (2015 and 2013 as the head coach of Northwest Missouri).
One hundred and twenty-six student-athletes were named to the 2024 All-MIAA Teams and with four players appearing twice on the list:
- Alongside being named the league's Special Teams Player of the Year, Central Oklahoma's Stephens was the most decorated player of the 2024 postseason awards. The senior was the coaches' pick for the league's top kick return/punt return specialists and was also named a Second Team defensive back selection.
- Fort Hays State senior running back
Shane Watts was the coaches' First Team pick for the all-purpose back position and was named a Second Team running back selection as well.

Tre Richardson was named a First Team wide receiver and earned Honorable Mention honors as a kick/punt returner.
- Pittsburg State redshirt-junior cornerback
Jaylen Fuksa was named a Second Team defensive back and earned Honorable Mention honors as a kick/punt returner.

Central Oklahoma and Pittsburg State advanced to the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs, announced by the NCAA on November 18. Both programs will host regionally ranked opponents in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday, November 23.
