LEXINGTON, Ky. — The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 2022-23 Team Academic Awards naming seven MIAA programs to the list of honorees.
 
Seven MIAA volleyball programs earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2022 season.
 
The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
 
MIAA teams to receive the honor were Central Missouri, Central Oklahoma, Fort Hays State, Missouri Southern, Missouri Western, Northwest Missouri and Washburn.
 
Central Missouri received the additional distinction of being named to the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll which celebrates programs in the top 20% of GPAs for their division. To see a list of Division II teams named to the Team Academic Honor Roll, click here.
