KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association will host its 2023 Awards Celebration, presented by
Husch Blackwell, on Tuesday, June 6 at the Kansas City Music Hall in downtown Kansas City, Mo.
The invitation-only event will feature recognition of the Association’s 2023 Hall of Fame Class. This year’s MIAA Fall of Fame Class consists of eight former student-athletes, one coach, an official, and a former MIAA commissioner. To learn more about the 2023 class,

The 2022-23 Ken B. Jones Award finalists will be recognized at the event with the winners for the Association’s top male and female athletes of the year announced during the ceremony. To see the male and female finalists for the MIAA’s prestigious Ken B. Jones award,

The evening will also include announcements for this year's winners of the Dr. Bob Boerigter Officiating Award of Excellence, the MIAA SAAC Cup, and the 2022-23 MIAA Commissioner's Cup, presented by
McCownGordon Construction.
Blair Kerkhoff, will emcee for the event for the sixth consecutive year. Kerkhoff has worked as a sportswriter for the Kansas City Star for 30 years and was elected into the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Hall of Fame in 2016. His work in Kansas City has allowed him to cover over 26 NCAA Division I Final Fours, 30 NCAA Division I Regional Finals and two Major League Baseball World Series. Kerkhoff has also authored five books in his career. The longtime sportswriter is a frequent guest on Sports Radio 810 WHB and 41 Action News in Kansas City. He was most recently inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, Class of 2023, for his career in sports writing at the Star.
