KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association announce the official bracket for the 2023 postseason baseball championship.
Eight teams advance to the 2023 MIAA Baseball Championship set for May 5-7 on campus sites with the advancing teams meeting in Warrensburg, Mo., May 11-13.

Central Missouri clinched the Association’s 2023 regular season title and the top seed in the MIAA tournament. The Mules finished 27-6 in the league and will host the championship on
Tompkins Field at Crane Stadium in Warrensburg, Mo. This marks the Mules' fourth consecutive regular season title and 29th overall.
Central Missouri will host No. 8 seed Rogers State in a three-game series at home will game one set for 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5. The Hillcats went 14-19 in the MIAA to snag the final seed in the postseason tournament.
Missouri Southern claimed the No. 2 seed with a runner-up finish in the regular season standings. The Lions own a record of 25-8 against league opponents and will host No. 7 seed Newman in a three-game series at
Warren Turner Field in Joplin, Mo. The Jets also finish 14-19 against MIAA competition and earned the higher seed over RSU due to the Association’s tie-breaker protocol. The Lions and Jets first game in the tournament will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 5.
Pittsburg State and Washburn both finished 21-12 in the MIAA. Washburn earned the No. 3 seed over the Gorillas after winning the MIAA series 2-1 in the final week of league competition.
Washburn will host No. 6 seed Northeastern State in a three-game series with game one beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 5, at the Ichabods’
Falley Field in Topeka, Kan. The RiverHawks finished 15-18 against MIAA opponents.
No. 4-seeded Pittsburg State will host No. 5 Central Oklahoma in a three-game series on Al Ortolani Field at the
Gene Bicknell Sports Complex. The Bronchos posted a record of 18-15 in the league this season. Game one of the MIAA series in Pittsburg, Kan., is set for 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5.
The best-of-three series winners will advance to Warrensburg for championship’s semifinals beginning Thursday, May 11. Four teams will compete in a double-elimination tournament with the championship title game set for Saturday, May 13 at noon.
The tournament’s champion will receive the Association’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA Central Region Championship May 17-21.
