Pittsburg State’s Camilla Roy Name Women’s Indoor Track & Field “A Game” Scholar Athlete

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Pittsburg State's Camilla Roy has been named the first-ever MIAA “A Game” Scholar award winner for women’s indoor track and field.
 
15075The “A Game” Scholar Award, presented by Mammoth Sports Construction and established by the MIAA, acknowledges the overall excellence of the student-athlete by recognizing one individual who has contributed to his or her team’s success, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.

Cami Roy is a fifth-year on the Gorillas track and field team. A native of Webb City, Mo., Roy owns a perfect 4.0 grade point average with over 108 undergraduate credits completed. She is currently perusing her master’s degree in exercise science.
 
Roy has competed in four events this 2023 indoor season which includes anchoring Gorillas’ first place 4x400 relay at the Wendy’s/Pittsburg State Invitational.

Roy will be honored with the MIAA “A Game” trophy, presented by Mammoth Sports Construction, at the conclusion of the 2023 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday, February 26.
