2023-24 Women's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Poll Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its preseason coaches poll for the 2023-24 women’s indoor track and field season.   
 
Pittsburg State was picked to finish at the top of the league by MIAA coaches. The Gorillas totaled 120 points and the majority first place votes with 10. Pitt State captured their second straight indoor conference title at the 2023 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, winning the event with an impressive 185 points.
 
Northwest Missouri was picked second in the preseason coaches poll with 111 points and the remaining first-place selections. Central Missouri tabbed the No. 3 spot with 95 points, followed by Missouri Southern at No. 4 with 89 points. Lincoln concluded the coaches’ top-five with 75 points.
 
Totaling just one point less than the Blue Tigers was Fort Hays State in sixth with 74 points. Washburn was picked No. 7 with 65 points, Nebraska Kearney finished at No. 8 with 56 points, Missouri Western finished ninth with 44 points and Rogers State occupied the No. 10 spot with 37 points. Emporia State and Central Oklahoma were picked 11th and 10th, respectfully.
