INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Two teams will represent the MIAA in the 28-team NCAA Division II playoff field with Central Missouri and Pittsburg State both advancing to the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs.
The MIAA Co-Champion Gorillas, who wrapped up a 10-1 regular season with a 20-10 victory over the University of Central Oklahoma, earned the No. 3 seed in the seven-team Super Region Three.
This is the Gorillas second straight trip to the NCAA playoffs and the program’s 20th appearance overall in the Division II postseason. Pitt State will host the University of Indianapolis (9-1) from the Great Lakes Valley Conference this Saturday, November 18, at Carnie Smith Stadium in Pittsburg, Kan. Kickoff for the first-round action is set for 1 p.m. (CST). Tickets are $12 for reserved seats, $10 for general admission and $5 for PSU Students (with I.D.). All tickets on game day will be $12.
The MIAA Co-Champion Mules also ended their regular season competition with a 10-1 record and advanced to the NCAA playoffs for the fifth time in program history and the first time since 2019.
Central Missouri earned the No. 4 seed in Super Region Three and will host Henderson State (9-2) from the Great American Conference on Saturday, November 18, at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field in Warrensburg, Mo. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. (CST). Tickets are $20 for reserved seats, $10 for general admission and $5 for students. Central Missouri students will receive free admission with their student ID, courtesy of UCM President Dr. Roger Best.
The winner of the match-up in Pittsburg will advance to face the winner between No. 2 seed Grand Valley State (9-1) and Ferris State (8-2) on Nov. 25. The winner out of Warrensbrug will advance to face No. 1 seed Harding (11-0) on Nov. 25 in Searcy, Ark.
