2022 MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Preseason Poll Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its 2022 MIAA/GAC Men’s Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll. 
 
Defending MIAA champions Northwest Missouri was voted the favorite of the North Division and Southern Arkansas tabbed the top spot in the South Division. 
 
North Division
The Bearcats received 36 total points and the majority of the first-place votes to be picked first in the North Division for back-to-back seasons. Washburn finished second in the poll with 29 points and the remaining first-place vote. Newman finished third with 21 points. Emporia State and Augustana each received 12 points to finish in a tie for fourth. Augustana is new to the MIAA/GAC Men’s Tennis league, joining in June of 2021. 
 
South Division
Southern Arkansas totaled 29 points and earned eight first-place votes to be crowned kings of the South Division. Ouachita Baptist came in second with 20 points and the remaining first-place vote. Harding finished in third with 13 points while Southeastern Oklahoma State was just one point behind in fourth.
