KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri Southern's Jamie Burnham was voted the 2022 MIAA Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year. 
 
Burnham has been named the Assocation's Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career. 

Burnham led the MSSU men to the team title at the 2022 MIAA Cross Country Championships, hosted on the Lions home course in Joplin, Mo. The Lions totaled 41 points with MSSU's Gidieon Kimutai crowned the individual champion and Ryan Riddle was the championship's runner-up. 

Southern's men's program has been ranked in the USTFCCCA's Top-30 in Division II throughout the entire 2022 season. The Lions currently rank No. 8 in the nation.
