KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its postseason awards and All-MIAA teams for the 2022 season.
Central Missouri, the 2022 regular season champions, received three of the Association’s postseason awards. Redshirt-freshman Julie Kristensen represented two-thirds of the Jennies honors being named the 2022 Offensive Player of the Year and the 2022 Freshman of the Year. Head Coach of the Jennies Lewis Theobald was honored as the 2022 Coach of the Year.

Ellis also led the MIAA and currently leads Division II with 12 shoutouts. The 5-9 freshman helped the Bearcats to the third-best winner percentage in the league and the No. 3 seed in the MIAA tournament.
Northwest’s Letycia Bonifacio and Emporia’s Joanie Westcoat tied for the Defensive Player of the Year title. Bonifacio, a senior form Sao Paolo, Brazil, led the Bearcat defense that allowed a league-low seven goals and posts a nation-leading 12 shutouts on the season.
