KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA has announced the bracket and pairings for the 2022 MIAA Women’s Soccer Championship. The official bracket is

Central Missouri (15-1-2, 9-1-1 MIAA) won its third consecutive regular-season championship with 28 conference points this season to earn the top seed for the championship tournament. The Jennies will host eighth-seeded Missouri Western (5-9-4, 3-6-2 MIAA) on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg, Mo. The Griffons finished the season with 11 points for the final spot in the championship field.
The No. 2 went to Emporia State (9-5-4, 7-1-3 MIAA) who finished with 24 league points. For the second straight season, the defending MIAA touranment Champions will host Northeastern State (7-3-8, 4-3-4 MIAA) in a quarterfinal match on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. in Emporia, Kan. The RiverHawks qualified for the championship as the No. 7 seed with 16 conference points.
Northwest Missouri (12-4-2, 8-3 MIAA) also totaled 24 points in the league but lost the head-to-head tie breaker against Emporia to move into the No. 3 seed. Northwest will take on Washburn (11-5-2, 6-4-1 MIAA) in the MIAA quarterfinals for the second consecutive season. The Bearcats and Ichabods are set for a 1 p.m. game in Maryville, Mo. on Sunday, Oct. 30. Washburn totaled 19 league points for the sixth seed in the tournament.
The No. 4 seed in the tournament will be Fort Hays State (10-1-7, 5-1-5 MIAA) with 20 conference points. The Tigers will host fifth seeded Central Oklahoma on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. in Hays, Kan. The Bronchos (11-3-4, 6-3-2 MIAA) also finished the season with 20 conference points and become the fifth seed based on the Association’s tiebreaker protocol.
All quarterfinal matches will be available on The MIAA Network. The winner of each quarterfinal match will advance the semifinal matches on Friday, Nov. 4. The site of the semifinal and championship matches will be played at the highest remaining seed after the quarterfinals.
