EDMOND, Okla. - The Central Oklahoma Bronchos defeated Missouri Western, 4-1, and in the process won the 2021 MIAA Spring Women's Soccer Tournament Championship. The match was hosted by UCO today.

The Bronchos needed a comeback after surrenduring a Missouri Western goal to Kalli Campbell. The balanced offense of Central Oklahoma then turned it on with four goals from four different players. Eden Jones tied the count at 1-1, before the game-winner came off the foot of Taryn Kedzior. After that, Monika McGee and Kelsie Easton put some breathing room between UCO and the visiting Griffons.

Both teams were the No. 2 seeds in their respective divisions, with Central Oklahoma in the Southeast Division and Missouri Western in the Northwest Division.

UCO finishes the season with an 8-4-1 record and Missouri Western closes out its year with an 8-3-1 mark

As part of the non-traditional spring season, teams were split into two divisions for competition, the Northwest Division and Southeast Division. Each team had five regular-season matches count toward their divisional record, which played a role in determining their spot in the tournament bracket.
